Announcing the Arrival of "Expedition Reclamation" on Our Digital Platform!
We are thrilled to announce that the inspiring film, Expedition Reclamation, is now available on our new digital platform! This powerful documentary is more than just a film; it's a journey that aligns perfectly with our mission of fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity in the outdoor space.
Expedition Reclamation is a short documentary seeking to redefine “outdoorsy” and reclaim belonging in the outdoors for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color by highlighting their joyful, resilient, & transformative relationships to outdoor recreation. Through their stories, the film breaks down stereotypes and builds a more inclusive understanding of who belongs in the outdoor narrative.
BLK Beetles’ Founder, Samad Hinton, expressed his excitement about the film’s debut on the platform. "Bringing Expedition Reclamation to our platform is a huge milestone for us! This film embodies our commitment to amplifying diverse narratives and challenging the traditional boundaries of belongingness in the outdoors, says Hinton. “We believe that everyone, regardless of their background and income-level, should feel a sense of belonging in the outdoors, and “Expedition Reclamation” is a testament to this vision."
Expedition Reclamation’s Co-Director by Erin Joy Nash shares in this excitement and noted, "It feels so aligned for us to have Expedition Reclamation streaming on the BLK Beetles platform.
